How Does Tattoo Removal Work?
Our tattoo removal process works by utilizing specialized laser energy that penetrates the skin to target tattoo ink particles. This energy breaks down the ink particles, allowing your body’s natural processes to gradually remove them. The process varies depending on factors such as tattoo color, depth, and age, but each session brings you one step closer to clear skin.
Initial Consultation: We begin with an in-depth consultation to assess your tattoo, discuss your goals, and review your skin type and health history. This allows us to craft a personalised treatment plan.
Patch Test: A small patch test may be performed to ensure your skin’s compatibility with the laser technology.
Customised Treatment Sessions: Each session is customized based on your tattoo’s progress and how well your skin responds to the treatment. Treatments are spaced to give your skin time to recover and your body time to remove the broken-down pigment.
Aftercare Support: Proper aftercare is essential for optimal results, and our team will provide you with guidance on caring for your skin post-treatment.

When the laser light is targeted onto the tattoo, the ink absorbs the light and shatters the ink particles into tiny pieces. The ink is then flushed out though the lymphatic system, which is the bodies natural cleansing system.
Because everyone is different, and so is every tattoo, everyone will see different results.

Yes! It hurts. However, we do numb the area prior to the treatment. Once the numbing is removed we then ice the area to make the treatment more comfortable for you.
The treatment process does not take long so the discomfort is only for a short period of time.
We block out plenty of time and have stress balls on hand to squeeze too! If you need to take it slow, that’s fine.

There are many different factors which can vary the amount of sessions needed, these being size, colour, skin type, lifestyle, age of the tattoo and more.
We usually recommend 6-12 sessions for traditional tattoo ink however cosmetic ink (microblading) may only need 1-4 treatments.

In most cases, yes! Currently the most effective way to remove a tattoo is via laser. For high quality tattoo removal, several sessions are required and even so in most cases the outlines of the tattoo remain barely visible on the skin.

Blistering after laser tattoo removal is a perfectly normal reaction to the procedure and should not be a cause of concern. Developing blisters is a positive indication that the healing process is going as planned and that the ink is being removed from your body. It is also normal for the blisters to pop or burst, and means that the skin will heal faster.
-
Whilst it is not essential, you may want to apply a cold pack to the treated area. This will serve to ease discomfort and inflammation. Provided you are not prone to an allergic reaction, you may also want to take a paracetamol based painkiller.
Do not take any aspirin as this will thin the blood and risk unnecessary bruising and bleeding to the treated area jeopardising the healing process.
